    Tour the garden. Enjoy a hayride. Host a barnyard party. Watch a farmer care for livestock or feed farm animals. Ride a pony led by staff. Meet & feed the farm animals. Old Maryland Farm offers something for everyone. Call the facility for activities, dates, times, fees, and reservation deadlines.

    Watkins Nature Center. Watkins Park. 301-218-6702. Something for everyone! Live animals! Featuring native owls, hawks, reptiles, and amphibians. The new Discovery Cottage gives children the change to explore the life of a naturalist. Indoor and outdoor ponds, a songbird feeding area, and a squirrel gym. For information please call 301-218-6702. The center is open Monday-Saturday from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm and on Sundays and holidays from 11:00 am - 4:00 pm.

  • Glen Echo Park—View their site for events!  This park is a wonderful day trip for your family.  Right next door is the Clara Barton House where you can take a tour!! There is no admission for tours. The Carousel is open from April through October.
