Adventure Theatre has been using theatrical
arts to entertain, educate and enrich the lives of children
and their families throughout the Washington metropolitan area
for years. Adventure Theatre offers live performances, classes
and workshops designed to turn stories into plays and people
into actors, as we help to develop the next generation of theatergoers.
Performances average 45 to 75 minutes in length and are generally
recommended for ages 4 and up.

The Smithsonian's Discovery Theater offers live
performing arts for young people. Each season there are more
than 300 performances featuring puppets, storytellers, dancers,
actors, musicians, and mimes presenting classic stories for
children. All shows are Mondays through Fridays, 10am and 11:30am,
except where noted. The theater is located in the Smithsonian
Arts and Industries Building on the National Mall.

Imagination Stage produces shows year-round
for families and classes, performance opportunities, outreach

performances at 9:30 and 11:00am, in the Helen Hayes Gallery.
Seating is limited!! Tickets are Required and are distributed
30 minutes before show, on a First-Come First-Served basis.
Children must be accompanied by an adult who remains present
for the entire performance. Best for ages 4 and older. Shows
are from September to April.
Monday Night at the National offers FREE performances
at 6pm and 7:30pm, in the Helen Hayes Gallery. Information available

Baltimore, Way Off Broadway offers one-of-a-kind children's
luncheon matinees. Plays are every Saturday afternoon, the
2nd & 4th Sunday of each month, and select added Wednesday
matinees. Admission is $10.50 per person and includes lunch
(geared towards the young!) and performance. Shows fill up quickly,
so make your reservations in advance. Birthday parties are also
available at the theater.
